The results of the State Bank of India Assistant in Clerical Cadre Recruitment Exam 2015 have been announced. The selected candidates will be appointed to the posts of Assistant Clerks across the different branches of SBI in India.
About the post
Young graduates are recruited as Assistants (clerical cadre). The Bank offers a fast track growth opportunities as the Assistants who become eligible for promotion on completion of 3 years’ service. All the selected candidates will be recruited against the post of Assistant clerks with a pay scale of around Rs.17500 per month along with D.A and other allowances at the current rate. The allowances however, will vary according to the place of posting. The selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Service Regulations of the Bank in force at the time of joining. The newly appointed assistants will be on probation for a Minimum period of 6 months and before the expiry of the probation period, the performance of the newly recruited employees will be evaluated and the probation period of those employees whose performance fails to meet the Bank’s expectation might, under certain circumstances be extended.
The selection procedure is completed in a two-step method:
The written test for the recruitment were held in July and August 2014. The application procedure was online and an eligible candidate was allowed to attempt the test. The test was conducted online and it was an objective type test containing of questions from: General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Marketing Aptitude and Computer Knowledge. Each topic had 40 questions and subsequently the total test had 200 questions and the candidate was given a time limit of 2 hours 15 minutes. The paper had negative marking and 1/4th marks were deducted on every wrong answer given by the candidate.
When a candidate qualified the written test, depending on the number of vacancies a certain number of candidates obtaining the higher ranks were called for interview. The interview was conducted in December 2014. The candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the bank) in interview to be considered for final selection. The knowledge of local language was also tested in the interview.
Mere satisfaction of eligibility norms does not entitle the candidate to the job.The final selection is made on the basis of performance in the online test and the interview taken together.

The final results of the exam have been declared on the SBI official website: https://www.sbi.co.in/ the candidate is required to follow the subsequent steps to access his/her results:
- On the homepage, go down and click on “Careers with us”. If you are unable to locate this bar, press Ctrl+F and type the same
- There will be a no. of tabs opening up and the candidate is required to click on the appropriate link.
- Within that, a no. of options will open up and the candidate is supposed to click on the link “download final result”to see his final result.
