Expected General Awareness Questions for IBPS Clerk IV 2014

IBPS exams for clerk recruitment for the year 2014 is starting soon. Expected General Awareness Questions are presented here for you to prepare for the exams. The exams are scheduled from December 6th to 27th 2014. We have collected this questions based on the recently held IBPS PO exams held on last October and November. As per syllabus of IBPS Clerk there will be 40 questions asked from the GK section. Also there is negative marking so please make your choices if you are sure about the answers.

Two Sections of General Awareness

As per the syllabus the general awareness questions are of from two main sections. The banking knowledge and current affairs. 2/3rd of the questions are asked from the current affairs where as 1/3rd of the questions are from banking. For banking we are expecting 50% general questions and another 50% current affairs in banking. When it comes to current affairs 40% of the questions are asked from last two month current affairs.

Must Read questions to prepare for IBPS Clerk 2014

There are few questions that will be certainly asked in all sessions of written examinations. We will just give you the titles and from where you can get the information to prepare for them.

1, Indian Cabinet Ministers, Chief ministers and Governors

Minimum 2 questions are asked from this section.So its worth preparing three sections. We advice you to refer wikipedia to prepare for this section. They have the best list with which department who is handling etc. Please check this links below to prepare for this section.

2, World Currencies and Capital

Another section from which we are experiencing another 2 or a minimum of one question for the exams. As per United nations there is around 180 currencies are approved and is in circulation world wide. Its not possible to study all these currency names. But you have to as in last few exams we experienced currencies asked from unknown countries like Cambodia etc. We dont want to confuse you by giving specific country names. In the below link also capital of countries are given. Please prepare them also.

3, Bank Taglines

Its a recent trend for examiners to ask for tagline by which banks are advertising. Though this comes in banking section we are including it in current affairs.We will update a separate post for this soon. Please wait till then.

4, Books and Authors

Another 2 easy marks to score in IBPS Clerk Exams is here. But the area is vast , so limit your scope to books that made the headlines. We have made this list month wise for the year. So please refer these books. Before going to read the books that are famous please check the below 4 books that made headlines in a negative way.
